Orion retained their Halstead Team Championship! Better still -
Orion kept their Essex County Team Championship fetching Gold
County medals for Neil, Dave and Tony!
Neil became Essex Bronze Senior medallist and Dave is now
Essex County Vets Marathon champion with his Gold Medal.
All the Orion lads had good runs on a very undulating tough course,
Neil was very happy with his first Essex medals as Cap'n Dave is
with his two Golds.
Tony didn't know till much later, but - as well as his Essex Gold
Team Medal he also became the RRC Marathon Vets Champion!
John Andrews also ran very well for a very well deserved pb on this most
demanding course : he was a very vital man to the team.
Thanks to Orion's support team - Sacha Ackland, who ran the half marathon,
Nigel White who supported and snapped the runners
(see Nigel's Website for images)
and Tony Bosomtwe "Great support when we needed it,
many thanks from the Essex Champs for simply being there!"
said a glowing Dave Brock afterwards.

BASILDON (LITTLE HAVENS) 5K 13.08.06
Billericay's vastly improved Chris Bloomfield who is
proving to be a real force in Essex broke the Course
record on route to victory in the 2nd running of this
popular event whilst Orion's Danielle Sale won the Women's
race again. In 5th place continuing his good run of road
form was Orion's Neil McGoun clocking 16.55.
Snooker legend and two times world champion Ronnie O'Sullivan
