OUR TEMPORARY CLUBHOUSE

Chingford Cricket Club E4 6DE ...has agreed that we can use its facilities for a nominal rent from 2nd January, 2010. PLEASE... The Corporation of the City of London has now received the £6m+ Lottery Funding grant it desired. Sadly, this means that Orion Harriers is required by the Corporation to vacate the Clubhouse we've used since 1911. Orion got the Corporation to offer a contract on another Forest building for which Orion must now raise sufficient funds for refurbishment. There have been delays in the planning process. Orion is trying to resolve the delays, but this has pushed the earliest completion date back to May. The Corporation is unable to offer Orion any further extension on the lease of our original HQ.

Here's some of us at Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge, built in 1543. An ORIGINAL Tudor building - beside our original, old Clubhouse! This obvious landmark is also on Rangers Road, E4, and sits to the East (or right - from the road) of the Royal Forest Hotel. Orion's OLD Clubhouse and HQ was situated behind the Royal Forest Hotel.
