Chingford League - a problem for us ALL

Will someone in Orion please take on this vital position
to enable the wonderful Chingford League to continue
thru next winter's XC season?

In my role as Chairman of the Chingford League I am writing to all the clubs to explain the current position and the problem we find ourselves with. The present Hon Secretary Jan Bowman, has for both medical and personal reasons decided not to stand for office this year, her husband Neil, who was responsible for producing the senior race results, has also stood down. As a league we cannot function unless both of these positions are filled within a short timescale.

After some discussion at the AGM on the 28th April and with no obvious candidates for the jobs, it was decided to advertise both positions throughout all ten clubs in the league in the hope that someone will volunteer. Please Jan's job description, below.

The bad news is that unless we get volunteers for the positions before a deadline of the 15th June, then an Extra-Ordinary General Meeting will be called to dissolve the league and share out any monies held. I realise this is a drastic step but we have already provisionally agreed on dates for the postponed end of season relay (Wednesday 23rd July) and the fixtures for next winter so the new person/persons need to be in place to start organising these as soon as possible.
